This hand dyed one-of-a-kind silk drape is created using a botanical printing process. Botanical printing is used to make the images on this piece. It involves steaming the piece for two hours. Val uses leaves and flowers from her garden. The steaming can leave wrinkles which can not be ironed out, a part of the charm of the process. It has been exciting for her to find a new and artistic use for the gifts of Mother Nature.
